On the move

What a wonderful five and a half week trip we had to Utah. We're missing our family already but so excited that Ryan has survival training over with. I took so many pictures that I will just skip posting any more. I would have to say that I am official SICK of driving! I don't know what I was thinking when I thought it would be a while before we had to drive a long distance again (by long distance I mean more that 12 hours). Instead, when Ryan went back into work on Monday he was given his training RIP that stated he starts pilot training for the PC-12 on October 14th in Florida. Do you understand this? Now we have to drive to Florida! Besides the driving, we have to get ready to move in two whole weeks. For me, that is not much time, I guess we'll make do. So the plan is: we pack up and DRIVE to Hurlburt Field in Florida. We will be there until December 15th then we will get in the car again and DRIVE to New Mexico. I feel like screaming, but what would the military be without short notices and plans that don't make sense to anyone! I guess the only two things that can make me feel better right now is finding and buying a house quick and that the process goes smoothly. Second, girls night with my dear friends on Friday, which I am counting on to be the best night of this week!
I suppose I'll go take care of my daughter now and do some more cleaning. I am still not unpacked from our Utah trip, what makes them think I am ready to move?! Oh, if anyone has advice for buying a house, please feel free to let us know. This is our first experience and I am a little nervous!

Fun in Utah

It's been a while since the last post. It is more difficult to take time for the blog when there are so many people to see and other fun things to do. But here is a little recap of our recent adventures.
Kiera has been potty training and she has been receiving LOTS of candy and Popsicles. This really isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, all thanks to my mom!

Here is a picture of Kiera catching candy at the Peach Day's kiddie parade. She wasn't interested in the loud fire trucks but loved the train.

The derby... this was not any regular domolation derby, it was a truck derby. The best I have ever seen. Unfortunatly it ended early for Kiera and I because she suddenly threw up all over and my aunt graciously drove us back to my parents house so I could clean her up.

Back to UTAH

We are back in Utah again! This time Kiera and I are here for five weeks while Ryan is off to more training. We have had a wonderful time so far. Kiera finally got to meet her Uncle Kyle and Aunt Jessica. It has been nearly three years since we have seen them and it was so great to be with them again.
Kiera and Droopy are becoming better friends with each visit. It is so cute to watch them together. Here is a picture of the two of them watching to garbage truck at Grandpa and Grandma Andreasen's house.

Yesterday my good friend Krista ran in the Top of Utah half marathon. Since my parents live two miles from the finish line, I got to go cheer her on to the finish. It was so exciting to watch her cross the finish line. Good Job KRISTA!

Fun, Fun, Fun

I'll start with last Wednesday July 30th. Two of my good friends, Leah and Krista, and I decided it was time for a girls night out. Ryan willingly watch the three amigos until their daddies got home from work while us three set off to enjoy the night. We started at Chili's where none of us had to prepare a thing, or prevent any major spills from happening! It was a nice dinner. Then off to see It was the best movie, the three of us had so much fun watching it!

Our 5th Wedding Anniversary was on Saturday! Our dear friends the Watts, watched Kiera overnight on Friday. It was her first real sleepover without her mom and dad. It was also my first night way from Kiera since she was born. I enjoyed it, at the same time, I couldn't wait to go pick her up in the morning. I felt bad leaving her when she is such a terrible sleeper, but boy, it sure felt good to sleep all night without her waking us up. Thank you so much Mike, Krista, and of course it wouldn't have been possible without Owen!!!

We find ourselves getting ready for another drive to Utah. This time Kiera and I will be there for five full weeks while Ryan attends some training. But the best part is that we get to see Uncle Kyle and Aunt Jessica, who have never met Kiera. We are sooooo excited!

Local Train

On Friday July 25th, we rode, for the second time, the cute little train at Meadowlake park. Kiera loves it and gets so upset when we have to leave. Ryan and I even find it fun. So for all of you Enid'ites that haven't tried it out, you must before the summer comes to an end.

"Kiera giving the conductor our tickets"
"Here we GO!"
As you can tell by Kiera's face, it's hot as heck here in Oklahoma!

UTAH

Oh, what a wonderful trip we had to Utah. After Ryan's graduation he was given the opportunity to take three weeks of leave. Half of which we spent here at home and the other half was spent in Utah. After the last 18 months of pilot training, vacation was our number one priority. The last few days of our stay were spent in Bear Lake at a family reunion and we had a blast. Kiera loved tubing behind the boat and the jet skies, she kept asking for more! I want to thank all our family for a wonderful, much needed vacation.

What would a trip to Cache Valley be without a demolition derby!

Kiera eating popsicles and Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's
The beautiful Bear Lake!

Waiting for our food and amazing raspberry shakes at LaBeau's in Bear Lake.
I can't forget that on the lovely 18 hour drive to Utah we stopped at a very welcoming rest stop in Wyoming and were greeted by all who live there! Now we know who actually lives in Wyoming!

Happy 4th of July!

I know this is a bit late but I have to post these cute pictures of Kiera. For the 4th of July we went to the Oklahoma City zoo and had a wonderful time, although it was extremely hot. Then we came home and made a cake and then when it got dark we went to the Enid fireworks. They weren't too bad. I didn't go with high expectations and I came home impressed. They had the Enid Orchestra play along with the fireworks and they were really good. It was a fun day!

Graduation/ Winging Ceremony

This is Ryan receiving his diploma from the base commander Col. Klumpp.
Ryan's mom and I pinned on his wings.
My dad made this cool plaque for Ryan.
A little Kiera who is very proud of her daddy!
Ryan-- we are so proud of you for your accomplishments. As we all know, it is not easy becoming an Air Force pilot. You have truly proven your worthiness and skill to honorably wear those awesome wings!
Good Job honey! I love you!!!

Red Carpet Day

On Thursday, red carpet day, we were able to go see a few things around the base. First stop was RAPCON, we couldn't take pictures there. Next stop was the static display of the the three air craft here at Vance. Then off to the simulators, my personal favorite!

WINGS of SILVER

He did it! Ryan graduated from JSUPT and now has his pilot wings. I am so proud of him for accomplishing his dream and doing it well. Never once was it easy but he just kept giving it his best and now two years later all that hard work has paid off. Only to start more training!!
Graduation was wonderful. Both Ryan's parents and my parents were able to fly in for the ceremonies and of course to get as much of Kiera as they could in the short five days they were here. I'll post pictures in a few post so I can get more in.
