My Pole Vaulter

Ryan accidentally erased this post so I will try it again! Love ya honey!!
When we bought our house it came with a dog run built in the back yard. Since it takes up so much space and we do not have a dog, Ryan is taking it down. He got a good portion of the work done this last Saturday, it's taking a while because the post's are cemented into the ground and one is cemented to the house. So while he was out working Kiera and I were sitting at the kitchen table and out of the corner of my eye, I see my husband flying through the air! I ran out to the back yard only to find him "pole vaulting" with one of the poles from the fence!!

Little Artisit

I think Kiera is taking after her dad. She loves to draw and has recently figured out how to draw people. Now they may not look like people to you, but as her proud mama, let me reassure you that they are "peoples"! That is what Kiera told me. She is also learning to color in the lines, which surprises me. But I don't have any pictures of that right now. These are from this morning when she was very busy drawing and writing in her little notebook.

Easter

Easter was so much more fun this year with Kiera being older. She LOVED the Easter egg hunts we went to and it caught on very quickly for us to do them over and over at our house. The best part is that my mom was able to come visit for the weekend and we had the most wonderful time. Thank you so much mom for coming!
Kiera absolutely loved coloring Easter Eggs!

As for me and our new little baby sister, I am at 28 weeks and just had a doctors appointment yesterday. Everything looks great and the baby seems to be growing right on schedule. I don't want to jinx's myself, but this pregnancy has been so much easier than Kiera's. By this time with Kiera I was wearing ted-hose to try and keep the swelling down in my feet and legs and I felt huge. So far, no swelling and I am feeling pretty good. We are just so excited as a family to have a new baby. Kiera continues to remind us that, "baby sister will come out after my Birthday, June of tenth"! I love how she says it, she is just too cute these days.

Kiera's first "Tea Party"

On Wednesday Kiera got to dress up and go to her first tea party. It was so cute, all the little girls dressed up and drinking their tea "Lemonade".

Weather!?!?!?!

All last week it was in the 80's here and we were loving it. Then Ryan came home yesterday morning after PT and said, "it's suppose to snow today". I thought, yeah right. They always say that it is suppose to rain or snow and since we have lived here it has rained a total of three times! Just before I went to get in the shower I looked out the front window and this is what I saw--

Kiera was VERY excited to see the snow. But when I opened the door she said, "burr, cold. That makes my tummy hurt." It's funny the things kids say!

This is the final accumulation-

Of course Kiera wanted her snow boots on and out she went to make footprints and eat the snow!

It's...

"A new little baby sister"! (Kiera's words)

We didn't get any good shots of her face because she was doing this the whole time. She had her feet up in front of her face and her arm wrapped around her legs. To me, it looks like she was doing flips off a diving board!

I can't wait to use all Kiera's cute clothes again.

Waiting for Summer

Spring and Summer are my favorite time of the year. As Fall is starting each year that is when I start dreaming of Spring. Don't get me wrong, I did grow up in Utah, so I do love to play in the snow, but since Ryan started pilot training two years ago, we haven't lived anywhere that has snowy winters. Just plain ol' ugly brown ones. So I thought I would post a few of my dreamy summer pictures.

My Handy Man!

Ryan decided that our truck needed a new bumper and fog lights. So a new bumper and fog lights it got!

Good job honey, it looks great!

Happy Valentines Day!

We had such a fun Valentines. Our wonderful friends Scott and Megan came all the way from Abilene, Texas to visit us, and yes, they brought us SNICKERDOODLES! They arrived Friday early afternoon and stayed until Saturday morning. It seriously was the most excitement we have had since living here in New Mexico and we loved every minute spent with them. Thanks Scott and Megan for coming to stay with us! We truly love and miss you!Saturday afternoon we went to pick up our Valentines gift. This is something we have wanted for a long time and finally we got one! Yep, a grill. Now we can enjoy the wonderful world of grilling anytime we like. Of course Ryan surprised me with a cute little gift that I think Kiera really enjoyed. She ate all the chocolate out of it and danced around with the roses for most of the day.

My mom found this cute jacket way back when I was pregnant with Kiera. It finally fits her and I think she looks adorable in it.

So to my two Valentines, I love you with all my heart!

Always in the Kitchen!

My mom sent us her yummy homemade sugar cooties for Valentines. Kiera had a wonderful time icing and decorating them. We each had to eat the first one's we finished before we could do the rest. They were so good! Thanks mom for all the goodies!
Also I have been wanting to start digital scrapbooking. If anyone out there has an awesome program please let me know.
